Conrad Teitell is a Principal in Cummings & Lockwood's Private Clients Group and is based in the Stamford office. Through his law practice, lectures, publications, columns and congressional activities, Conrad strives to help charitable organizations receive and donors make taxwise charitable gifts that take into account their entire estate plan for themselves and their families. He is also frequently called upon to help clients patch-up plans that have gone awry. He has been an adjunct law professor at the University of Miami School of Law (Graduate LL.M. program in Estate Planning) since 1980 and has lectured nationwide at over 800 programs sponsored by bar associations, estate planning councils, colleges, universities, law schools and other organizations. Conrad was the on-air tax adviser for the PBS series On the Money, has done six PBS television specials on taxes and estate planning, and taught public speaking on a six-part PBS series. He has been a commentator on National Public Radio's Marketplace.

Brianna L. Marquis is an Associate in Cummings & Lockwood's Private Clients Group and is based in the West Hartford office. Brianna joined Cummings & Lockwood in 2017, and counsels high net worth individuals in the areas of trust and estate planning, charitable giving, tax efficient wealth transfers and related residential real estate transactions. Brianna is responsible for drafting a broad range of estate planning documents for clients including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Advanced Medical Directives. She also has experience representing Executors throughout the estate administration process. Prior to joining Cummings & Lockwood, Brianna focused her practice on estate planning. She has interned at various organizations including the City of Waterbury Corporation Counsel’s Office and the Office of the Connecticut Attorney General. Brianna has also authored and co-authored several scholarly articles.

Daniel G. Johnson is a Principal in Cummings & Lockwood’s Private Clients Group, which he joined in 1997. He practices in the firm's Stamford office, primarily in the areas of estate planning, family business succession planning, estate administration and trust administration. He is an author of Settlement of Estates in Connecticut 3d and the Connecticut Probate Deskbook. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts and is a member of the Bar Associations for all three states and the Estates and Probate Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. Dan frequently lectures on estate and tax planning topics to both lawyer and non-lawyer audiences. Dan has been named as a “Super Lawyer” since 2012 and included in “Best Lawyers” since 2018.

Michael Kaelin is a principal in the litigation group of Cummings & Lockwood LLC in Connecticut and Florida, and has extensive experience representing individuals and fiduciaries in probate, and trusts and estates disputes, including will contests, conservatorship and guardianship proceedings, fiduciary removal proceedings, contested accountings, fee disputes, construction proceedings, undue influence actions, and investment disputes in trial and appellate courts in Connecticut and Florida. Mike is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, and Chambers and Partners. Mike received his law and undergraduate degrees from Duke University. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, Florida and New York, and federal district and appellate courts, including the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the American Inns of Court, Connecticut Bar Association, The Florida Bar, and New York City Bar Association.

Elizabeth A. (Betsy) Falkoff is a principal in Cummings & Lockwood’s Private Clients Group and is based in the Stamford office. Betsy has nearly 10 years of experience in trusts and estates law. She represents individuals and families in the creation and implementation of sophisticated estate plans facilitating the

passage of wealth through generations. Betsy’s estate planning practice includes gift planning and the use of trusts as tools for asset management, creditor protection, charitable giving and minimization of taxes. She has extensive experience as a trusts and estates fiduciary advisor representing Executors and Trustees in the administration of complex estates and trusts in both Connecticut and New York.

Ramona Ramadar serves as the Director of Gift Planning for the Salvation Army Greater New York Division where she helps generous individuals and their advisors employ strategies to increase their giving, care for their families, and reduce taxes. She has served nonprofits for 15 years including ten years focused exclusively on gift planning. She holds an MBA, Certificate in Fundraising from New York

University, is a Fellow in Charitable Estate Planning (FCEP) and a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP). Ramona is the Vice President of the Philanthropic Planned Giving Group of Greater New York (PPGGNY), chair of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging, and recipient of the 2022 Emerging Leader Award. She has spoken to the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners, Philanthropic Planned Giving Group of Greater New York, College for Officer Training of the Salvation Army, and other conferences and contributed to the Development Guild blog, Giving Tomorrow, and Asking for Good.

Bryan Clontz is the founder and president of Charitable Solutions, LLC, specializing in non-cash asset receipt and liquidation, gift annuity reinsurance brokerage, actuarial gift annuity risk management consulting, emergency assistance funds, as well as virtual currency and life insurance appraisals/audits. He also serves as Senior Partner of Ekstrom Alley Clontz & Associates – a community foundation consulting firm in Tuscon, AZ. Bryan is the founder of the Dechomai Foundation, Inc. and the Dechomai Asset Trust - two national donor advised funds focusing on non-cash assets generally and S-corp transactions, respectively. He is also the founder and president of The Emergency Assistance Foundation, Inc.– a global charity that allows employers to create emergency assistance and disaster relief funds for their employees. As of 2020, EAF works with more than 300 employers and 10 million employees. Finally, Bryan created the National Gift Annuity Foundation, the largest national independent gift annuity platform.

Larry serves clients in the firm's Private Client Services practice. He is a nationally-recognized authority on estate planning and planned giving, and is an advisor to charitable organizations both locally and nationally.

He is a frequent speaker around the country to professional groups. He appears annually on several American Bar Association-American Law Institute estate planning programs and has spoken at many other national tax institutes, including the Notre Dame Tax Institute, the University of Miami Heckerling Estate Planning Institute, and the Southern Federal Tax Institute. Larry has served as an adjunct professor at the Washington University School of Law where he has taught both estate and gift taxation and fiduciary income taxation. He additionally serves on the American Council on Gift Annuities board of directors.

He is a former chair of the American Bar Association Tax Section Fiduciary Income Tax Committee. He is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a member of its Charitable Planning and Fiduciary Income Committees and has served as a member of the advisory board of the New York University National Center on Philanthropy and the Law. He was named the St. Louis Non-Profit/Charities Lawyer of the Year in 2011 and 2015 and the St. Louis Trusts and Estates Lawyer of the Year in 2010 and 2013 by Best Lawyers® (by BL Rankings). He was nationally ranked in the 2009-2022 editions of Chambers USA for Wealth Management (by Chambers & Partners).
